Dr Susie Worsley

Dr Susie Aesthetics is a doctor-led medical aesthetics clinic run by Dr Susie Worsley, an experienced NHS GP with over 10 years of clinical practice.

Susie offers a calm, friendly and highly personalised approach to aesthetic
treatments. She is passionate about subtle, natural results and follows a ‘less is more’ philosophy – focusing on skin health, balance and confidence rather than dramatic change.

Susie commonly sees concerns such as fine lines, ageing skin, dullness and crepiness. Her special interests include prescription-only treatments to soften expression lines, skin boosters to improve hydration and skin quality along with regenerative treatments such as polynucleotides to support collagen and elastin production, particularly in delicate areas such as the under-eyes.

She also provides medical treatment for excessive underarm sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis).

Whether you’re exploring aesthetics for the first time or continuing treatments you already know and trust, Susie provides care in a calm, reassuring way, combining medical expertise with a friendly, down-to-earth approach.

I offer a calm, supportive space to pause, reflect, and make sense of life’s experiences at your own pace. I work with adults experiencing emotional challenges, life transitions, or periods of change, including anxiety, low mood, grief and bereavement, menopause, work-related stress and adjustment following significant life events such as stroke.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Gestalt approaches, adapting my way of working to each individual rather than following a one- size-fits-all model. Central to my practice is a relational approach, valuing the therapeutic relationship as a place where experiences can be explored safely, with care and understanding.

Before training as a counsellor, I worked in roles involving responsibility for others within complex organisational settings. This informs my understanding of pressure, accountability, and the emotional impact of caring for and supporting others. I believe counselling can offer support not only during difficult times, but also a space for reflection, growth, and developing greater self- understanding.

You are welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation, where we can explore what feels important and whether working together feels right for you.

What is art therapy?

Art therapy is an established form of psychotherapy, delivered by trained art therapists (also known as art psychotherapists). Art therapy uses art as the primary mode of expression, alongside talking with an art therapist. It aims to reduce distress and improve social, emotional and mental health by promoting insight, self-compassion and a sense of agency and self-worth.

During art therapy, you are supported by an art therapist to use art to express and articulate often complex thoughts and feelings through art making. This may be following difficult or traumatic experiences which may be hard to talk about.

Art therapy can help people of all ages and at all stages of life, including those whose life has been affected by difficult personal or cultural experiences, illness and/or disability. You do not need to be skilled in art to benefit from art therapy.
